Watershed Development is being Implemented from 1999 to 2005 with the support of DWMA Chittoor, 13 micro watersheds comprising of 13 Grama panchayats and 95 hamlets of Piler, Sodam, Somala and Chinngottigallu Mandals of Chittoor District. Motivated the community to utilize the available resources effectively & efficiently by conservation of soil & water through physical structures & improving vegetation in the area besides imparting technical skills to improve productivity & livestock management to arrest / reduce the rate of migration in the off seasons.
